Calico and Stitch ‘ The Bee that could be ‘

6th November 2021 @ 10:00 am - 7th November 2021 @ 4:00 pm

Come and learn how to make a textile bee picture, using vintage embroidered linen and Liberty scraps. We will explore the techniques of applying scraps and simple embroidery stitches to make our bee, busy in a flower garden.

An enjoyable slow stitch couple of days with plenty of help and encouragement. The first day will focus on piecing and arranging your composition, and the second should allow students to begin quilting. Sue Stitchbury’s work can be admired and explored on instagram @calicoandstitch

Materials such as recycled vintage table cloths and embroidery threads are also included. Everything is supplied, but please bring with you a general sewing kit, including an off white sewing thread and appliqué or dressmaking pins.

Please note this is a two day workshop, including lunch, teas and coffee.
