Teacup of Flowers Sampler

18th April 2020 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm

In this gentle introduction to embroidery, Su will teach you the basics of a number of different embroidery stitches which you will then build upon, exploring different effects to create your own little bunch of flowers spilling out of a teacup.
Su’s formal training is in fine art painting. From this creative background she enjoys teaching and bringing a fresh approach to textiles.
The little sampler you will make can be framed on its own or used in a larger project – perhaps a pocket on a skirt, a bag or as the centre panel for some patchwork.

A light lunch and cake is supplied by Juliet’s Café. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements.
All materials for this project are included, but please bring your favourite scissors.
You can see more of Su Saunders’s work on her Instagram page @craftycupoftea .
